Morristown High School: Project Graduation


Every year, the Project Graduation Committee hosts a Fashion Show and Basket Raffle to raise funds to offset the costs of the All-Night Party thrown for the graduating seniors the night of Graduation. The All-Night Party is a safe, alcohol & drug free evening of fun.

The cost for each student’s participation in the All-Night Party is approximately $120, of which the students pay $10.  This celebration for the seniors would not be possible without the Fashion Show and Basket Raffle. 

To allow us to continue hosting the All-Night Party, we are asking for parents to join us in the planning of the Fashion Show/Basket Raffle, as well as the all-night party.  


HERE IS THE 2017 REGISTRATION INFO

Project Graduation All Night Registration. Students graduating on June 22, 2017 are cordially invited to attend the annual Project Graduation All Night Party at the Fairfield Crown Plaza. This is a fantastic way to celebrate your MHS graduation. The Project Graduation Committee and Sponsor’s goal is to provide you with a night of celebration that is fun, substance-free and safe. Activities will include food, DJ, dancing, inflatable activities, jumbo games, insta-lounge, photo booth, henna artist, etc. Be sure to wear comfy casual clothes and bring your yearbook and phone chargers!  Check in on June 22 begins at 9pm and Morris School District buses will depart promptly from Morristown High School at 9:30 pm and will return to the high school between 4:30am and 5:00am the next morning. The cost of the party is $10.00!

Registration for this exciting event is required.  Students should print and bring the signed permission slip with you when registering.  If you are unable to print the attached document, you can pick up a permission slip from the Main Office beginning Monday, June 5th.

Dates to register are:

  • June 12th – June 13th:  7:15am-7:45am/10:45am-11:45am – Upper Atrium
  • June 14th – June 16th:  7:15am-7:45am/11:30am-12:15pm – Upper Atrium
  • June 19th: 7:15am-7:45am/11:30am-12:45pm – Upper Atrium and During the Senior Lunch in the Cafeteria
  • June 20th: 7:15am-7:45am/11:30am-12:15pm – Upper Atrium

STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS:

*Must be a senior student

*Must not be in violation of the school’s Code of Conduct

*Must attend all rehearsals/meetings scheduled by the Project Graduation Fashion Committee

*Must maintain the required GPA of 2.5

 

PARENT QUALIFICATIONS:

*Must make a documented and consistent commitment to Project Graduation for a minimum of two years PRIOR to your child’s senior year and….

*Continue your commitment to PG during your child’s senior year

*That means…membership is required by the start of your child’s sophomore year

*Be an active member of a PG subcommittee

*Attend our monthly meetings

*Help fill raffle baskets…by soliciting businesses and/or donating items

 

***Potential models must demonstrate proper behavior and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner as representatives of Morristown High School.

Unacceptable conduct during a student’s senior year and subsequent ineligibility will be at the discretion of the Project Graduation Co-Chairs and MHS administration.
