Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year at Morristown High School (MHS).

What is Colonial Closet?

MHS Closet is a new venture at MHS, organized and run by the school. Its purpose is to support the MHS students who are struggling economically. Some of these students are living on their own, working to pay their rent while going to school. All are in need of basic necessities like toiletries and simple food items.

The outpouring of support for MHS Closet has been tremendous. The Colonial Closet is in need of the items on this list (Colonial Closet). The most urgent needs include:
  • Non-perishable food, including hot, microwavable meals, hot chocolate and instant coffee
  • Toiletries, including facial cleaners and sanitary pads
  • NEW underwear for boys and girls
  • NEW socks (sport and dress) for boys and girls
  • NEW bras for girls
  • laundry detergent, any brand, any form – powder, liquid or pods

Items can be dropped off in the main office.

General MHS Closet questions should be directed to Michele Lombardi, MHS Social Worker, michele.lombardi@msdk12.net or Marietta Scorsune, District Outreach Teacher, at marietta.scorsune@msdk12.net. If you prefer to make a cash donation so that needed items can be purchased for you, please contact Caroline Godfrey at carolineckg@optonline.net.
Thank you in advance for your support of the struggling students in the MHS community.
